VISIT THE SCHOOL
Spring Knolls offers prospective parents the opportunity to visit the school during our Information Sessions. They are scheduled for Wednesday, December 4th and Wednesday, January 15th from 10-11am and will provide families a chance to learn about the school, co-oping options, and play-based learning. Reservations are now being accepted for our Information Sessions.

If you are unable to attend an Information Session, you can connect directly with our membership committee to schedule a tour.

Selection Criteria

The Spring Knolls admissions policy (as stated in the Parent Handbook, the school’s guiding policy document) is as follows:

"Maintaining a diverse student population, reasonable age and gender balance, and adequate proportion of co-oping parents at each class level are primary goals of Spring Knolls, as is a commitment to the children of Spring Knolls parents, alumni, and staff. Spring Knolls therefore gives priority to applicants whose admission would further one or more of these goals. Because there may be more applicants than available spaces in particular classes, it may not be possible to admit all priority applicants in a given year."

Age Requirements

*Placement in the Twos classes: For developmental reasons, Spring Knolls aims to put older two-year olds (birthdays from September-February) in the 3-day Twos class which meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday; and younger two-year olds (birthdays March-August) in the 2-day Twos class, which meets Thursday and Friday.

Scholarships

Spring Knolls has a strong commitment to its scholarship program, and scholarships are available each year. Financial aid applications are reviewed by a committee composed of the director, the president of the board, and the treasurer. Please check the appropriate box on the application to indicate whether you would like to apply for a scholarship.
